Research Fellow, Biologics Drug Discovery

About This Role The Biologics Drug Discovery group at Biogen is seeking a creative and self-motivated research fellow to contribute to our mission to design, optimize, and develop medicines to transform patients’ lives.  The Research Fellow role at Biogen is an 18-month position designed to provide a unique opportunity for scientists to gain exposure to drug discovery and development and train in an industry research setting. As a member of the Protein Chemistry group, you will work with a cross-functional team to design, optimize and produce antibody-oligonucleotide  conjugates intended to improve delivery of therapeutic oligonucleotides (ASOs or siRNAs) to target tissues. What You’ll Do

• Optimize and implement protein purification schemes for engineered antibodies, including bispecific antibodies, using computer interfaced chromatography systems (e.g. AKTA or similar)
• Characterize proteins using standard methods such as SDS-PAGE, analytical size-exclusion chromatography, and dynamic light scattering
• Develop and optimize novel antibody-oligonucleotide conjugation methods
• Generate, purify, and analyze antibody-drug conjugates for use in animal models.
