Senior Virtualization and Compute Engineer (Remote)

Sr Compute and Virtualization Engineer – Global Infrastructure Platform Engineering Evotec is a leader in the discovery and development of novel small molecule drugs with operational sites in Europe, Asia and the US. The Company has built substantial drug discovery expertise and an industrialized platform that can drive new innovative small molecule compounds into the clinic. In addition, Evotec has built a deep internal knowledge base in the treatment of diseases related to neuroscience, pain, and inflammation. Leveraging these skills and expertise the Company intends to deliver superior science-driven discovery alliances with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. This position is 100% remote Key responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design, integration, and operation of IT systems in the areas of compute and virtualization.
• Optimize and automate the operation of the global virtualization environment.
• Provide 3rd level support for compute and virtualization escalations.
• Providing SME support to local IT teams.
• Plan, control, and implement changes to critical IT compute infrastructures.
• Create and update operational documents and concepts.
• Collaborate with international project teams.
• Assisting other platform engineers with deployments, support, and documentation.
• Provide structured and agreed upon emergency on call support.
