ML R&D Squad Lead

In the ALDO squad, we ensure that our users can access the different services and travel legitimately within the many public transport communities covered by FAIRTIQ, while keeping an eye on malicious users. The best part of the challenge? We do it at scale: Our increasing base of 700K active users, and the 150M journeys (https://nicht.fairtiq.com) already made with FAIRTIQ imply that our system must be built with scalability and reliability at its core. As a Squad Lead, you will lead a multidisciplinary team (researchers and software engineers) to push forward the topics owned by the squad, namely travel authorisation and fraud prevention. You will also assume the line management responsibilities of the squad members, emphasising on their personal development and growth.  And, as a Senior ML Researcher in ALDO, You will be responsible for mentoring other squad members on research topics, shaping the fraud future and providing individual contribution to the fraud detection and prevention topic. This implies improving current detection models and algorithms, investigating new scenarios of fraud and ways to prevent them. Like every engineer at FAIRTIQ you will work on features “end-to-end”: from their definitions, to their research, implementation and making them production-ready before releasing them.
