Director of Accounting

About the role: The Director of Accounting will report to our VP of Accounting and work closely with members of the executive team and other key stakeholders to build teams, processes, systems, and capabilities that scale with and support our rapidly growing business. This role would be suited for an accounting professional with strong business acumen, solid management and leadership skills, and operating + systems development experience, who thrives when working on challenges and driving continuous improvement in a dynamic, high growth environment. What you’ll be doing:

• Collaborate and manage, with the International Director of accounting, the GL accounting team. 
• Manage General Ledger monthly close for all entities
• Prepare monthly internal financial statements and present results to VP of Accounting and CFO
• Manage the audit process both for consolidated entities, as well as collaborate with the tax team on statutory audits for the international subsidiaries. 
• Coordinate with the technical accounting team, any technical memos resulting for significant transactions. 
• Oversee the US and international payroll process, which includes submitting bi-weekly, semi-monthly and monthly pay cycles
• Oversee the accounts payable process to ensure vendors are paid timely and that internal approval documentation is completed
