Component Engineer - Electronics Component Engineer.

Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:                        Working within a small team based across different geographical segments of Xylem to:

• Proactively support various Xylem Electronics design teams to:
  • Develop product design from concept stage using one’s electronics design experience and latest knowledge from component manufacturers.
  • identify most suitable key electronics components for a given design by drawing on one’s in-depth electronics design experience as well as manufacturers data
• Monitor, identify and resolve any lifecycle issues and identify substitutes and/or second source for components
• Resolve end-of-life/obsolete component issues
• Assist in the development of new component qualification plans
• Manage communication with component manufacturers and distributors
• Assist in the qualification of new manufacturers and suppliers Minimum Qualifications:
•  Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Analogue Electronics is a bonus Essential Experience:
• Proven track record (5 years or more) working with and ideally for an Electronics component manufacturers and Electronics product companies in a role such as Field Application Engineer or Component Engineer/Designer providing technical support, supporting internal design teams in optimizing new product designs, conducting product demonstrations and working with clients to optimize the performance of their semiconductor products.
